“One can say that the icon of German Rock is Scorpions. They had Ulrich Roth who is an unparalleled genius and the band influenced many rock fans in the world with their numerous masterpieces. And we all were saddened by the news that they will end their music careers.
However German Rock music has rich resources and there seems to be more remarkable artists to come out. Niklas Turmann is among them.
Niklas Turmann who came to Japan only a few weeks ago as a support guitarist of Fair Warning and also played with Uli in 2008. He is an outstanding guitarist and he started his own band called Crystal Breed.
The rock music seems to be at the turning point without needing the new concepts. Easy to listen and easy to play, currently those are the music style in common, and now the audience also realized that we lost the sense of fascination and excitement to find out the richness and deepness of the music and also to appreciate the instruments. We are lost in the flood of nowadays’ music.
But I found the answer from the sound of Crystal Breed in their very sophisticated work with total dedication and a lot of devotion.
Yehudi Menuhin once said that the music should not be the target of your frustration. The music created by Niklas reminded me of his words.
I would love to give unstinted applause to Niklas and his music and very much look forward to listening to what he creates in the future.
